In an interview with the Hutchinson Leader, Republican candidate Tim Benoit does something that most politicians try to avoid. Rather than talk about a need to work across the aisle and build compromise, Benoit comes out firmly opposed to this style of governance. “Other people in the race talk about compromising across the aisle,” Benoit said. “Boy, every time you compromise, the taxpayer loses.” Some might take this to mean that, in fact, Benoit is talking about not compromising on his principles.
