Seriously, conservatives, do you want to know why you cannot win in a district which is purportedly a “conservative” district? Right here is another reason (from the facebook page of former candidate Lee Byberg):
Collin Peterson is NOT a man of God? Voting for him incurs the wrath of God? Are you serious? Are we talking about the same Collin Peterson?
I don’t know about your area of the 7th District but where I am from people just do not talk like this and people who do talk like this make us uncomfortable. In fact, when I moved to the 6th District one of the most jarring experiences for me was how much people proselytize. People in the 7th have their religion and they quietly practice that religion. In fact, discussing ones religion in public is frowned upon. Maybe at some point Republicans/conservatives will figure all this stuff out but until then Collin Peterson can rest easy knowing his seat is safe.
