Shouldn't You Be Able To Spell Conservative?

Almost two months ago I happened upon the website of perennial candidate for the Republican Party in the 7th District, Glen Menze. On that haphazardly constructed website was a fairly explicit endorsement claim from Menze that Michele Bachmann told him to run again for Congress against Collin Peterson.

Republican Contenders In CD-7 & CD-8 Try To Out Conservative One Another

On Monday, Republican candidates from both Congressional District 7 & 8 who intend to take on long time representatives Collin Peterson and Jim Oberstar attended a forum at Bemidji State University in the apparent hope that they could lay claim to the title of most conservative candidate.

Lee Byberg Using YouTube Strategy In MN CD-7

There are currently two candidates vying for the Republican endorsement in Minnesota’s 7th District to take on Representative Collin Peterson. Given the amount of time and money spent by the Minnesota Republican Party in the last year to target Peterson, one would imagine these two candidates would be top tier conservatives ready to take a seat in a relatively conservative area.

Another CD-7 Challenger For Collin Peterson

Late last week it was reported that Glen Menze, a two time losing candidate, would try his hand again at unseating 7th District Representative, Collin Peterson. At the time I speculated as to whether the Minnesota Republican Party was simply conceding the district once again even after their pushes against Peterson. Today, however, another candidate emerged named Lee Byberg: “My life experience having lived in three continents has forged my belief that the principles of liberty, limited government and pursuit of happiness are most relevant for every generation,” Byberg said in a press release. “Twenty years of business experience, including leading a substantial Minnesota agricultural company, coupled with my love for freedom and personal background has qualified me for this representative position.” With two candidates … Continue reading
