So Conservatives Support Civil Unions Now?
I have heard it twice now from two different marriage amendment supporters. First, in a letter from State Senator John Pederson to me supporting the amendment. Pederson wrote, “It may be the case as a whole, people want to move towards granting same-sex couples the same financial rights, etc., as heterosexual couples. If so, we should move toward civil unions…” Second, local conservative activist Leo Pusateri acknowledged in the comments that civil unions would be fine with him. That was after, however, he proclaimed that gay marriage would lead to beastiality, the United States becoming like Rome under Caligula, and the ultimate destruction of America. Don’t worry though, he has gay friends! Aside from that, I never said that anyone’s relationships doesn’t matter or count, … Continue reading

Classy MNGOP Tweet Of The Day…
This one comes from an officer in the SD15 Republican Party: Presumably, Leo Pusateri is referencing the historical perception of Caligula as insane and sexually perverse. Is Pusateri, a licensed school psychologist, really claiming that gay marriage would lead to a sexually perverse society? Thanks, Leo, for showing us just what the Republican Party thinks about gay people. You stay classy!

You're A Racist, NO YOU'RE A RACIST!
Well that didn’t take long. Only days ago I felt the need to write a post agreeing with local conservative, King Banaian, that the rhetoric of an SCSU Professor calling those people who voted for Michele Bachmann racist because some idiot was putting up disgusting posters of Muslims around St. Cloud. Now I find myself needing to write another post because another local conservative took the rhetoric too far. Leo Pusateri, who sits on the Executive Committee of the Senate District 15 Republican Party, decided to not only chastise the SCSU Professor in question but then turn around and do essentially what that professor did, call an entire group of people racists. Additionally, if I were to equate any political ideology with racism, it would … Continue reading

Best Thing On #tcot
Bring on the crazy… HA HA, that guy called President Obama a prostitute AND a drug addict. Wait, isn’t the guy retweeting this the Secretary of the SD15 Republican Party here in Minnesota? Yep, that’s him. You stay classy Leo! I can completely understand disagreeing with the policy decisions made by this President. Are they really evil though? Sorry, I forgot about cash for clunkers. THAT EVIL BASTARD! Oh, top conservative on twitter, you are totally policy based and about opposing the agenda of President Obama. You are totally NOT about spreading hate… So, we learned some very valuable lessons today from the top conservatives on twitter. Barack is a prostitute, drug dealing, secret Muslim while Michelle is a whore and a secret Muslim. Now … Continue reading
Birthers Run SD15 Republican Party…
A couple of weeks ago over at Bluestem Prairie, Sally Jo Sorensen took a look at potential birtherism within the ranks of the Republican Party in the 6th Congressional District. In particular, Sorensen questioned whether a member of the Executive Committee here in SD15, Leo Pusateri, was in fact a birther. I deciding to spend a little time chasing it, hunting it down. In fifteen minutes of browsing, I found that conservatives in Minnesota did indeed show interest in the topic. Take, for instance, blogger and Senate District 15 GOP Secretary Leo Pusateri. There are other examples in the state. Read about Mr. Pusateri’s interest in the controversy and that of other two other conservative Minnesotans below the fold. Mr. Pusateri currently blogs at Psycmeister’s … Continue reading
