So Representative Drazkowski is the guy who wants to heap further punishment on the poor for being, well, poor. This column takes that idea and does a pretty good job of explaining the alternative view of the subject. We will call it the compassionate view: Dignity. When you’re down on your luck, it can be the only thing you have left. To have to pee to prove you and your children are worth being fed, clothed and sheltered adds one more humiliation to families whom circumstance has already humbled.
